The Turnaround Insolvency and Restructuring (TRI) Awards are THE industry awards for Restructuring. To have been shortlisted at all was an achievement, and we at JC were really looking forward to an evening sat amongst some of our peers, friends (old and new) and fellow restructuring folk. The occasion did not disappoint. We heard a lot about the good work that the TRI Awards do throughout the year, and paid homage to some of the professionals who have shaped the industry in which we operate, truly inspiring stuff.
But soon enough, came the part that we’d really been waiting for; the awards themselves. There were 25 in all, ranging from Large Corporate Rescue of the Year to Rising Star of the Year and much in between. But when the announcer read out the category for which we had been shortlisted, all ten of the JC team in attendance sat upright and listened intently.
‘And the winner is…JC Consulting’. What a moment!
The judges commented the following as we gratefully accepted our award.
"JC Consulting stood out due to the hands-on support it provided to its clients in what was a niche area of the market. Through this approach, it has achieved exceptional growth and great client feedback."
From thereon in the evening had a very different complexion. The metaphorical ‘edge’ had been taken off and replaced with excitement, joy and, of course, a real sense of achievement. It is difficult to put into words just what an award like this, amongst esteemed colleagues and companies, means. We are passionate about the work we do, and our clients have ratified the quality and integrity with which we deliver it, but to be named Boutique Insolvency and Restructuring Firm of the Year is monumental and we’ll be forever grateful for it , although we hope this to be the first award of many.
